Jeff Glazner, PWS, Principal Biologist
Jeff Glazner, co-owner of North Fork Associates, is a Professional Wetland Scientist with over 17 years of experience in the Sierra Nevada and Central Valley regions.  He directs the Natural Resources division and is the Principal-in-Charge for all projects undertaken by staff biologists.   His areas of expertise include wetlands analysis, botany, and remote sensing/aerial photo interpretation.  He has conducted analyses on hundreds of thousands of acres in Northern and Central California and regularly conducts wetland delineations and biological assessments, develops impact/avoidance plans and mitigation and restoration plans, and participates in agency consultations for CEQA and NEPA, as well as state and federal permits. 

Barrett Anderson, Senior Biologist
Barrett Anderson has over 20 years of experience conducting botanical surveys and biological field assessments throughout Northern California.  He serves as a project manager for biological assessment projects and conducts natural resource and biological assessments, special status species surveys, tree surveys, vegetation mapping, and wetland delineations.  He prepares mitigation planning and monitoring reports, biological assessments, and biological resource impact evaluations to comply with the requirements of  CEQA and NEPA and has extensive experience preparing and submitting state and federal permit applications, including Sections 404 and 401, Pre-Construction Notifications, and Streambed Alteration Agreements.

Patrick Britton, ISA Certified Arborist, Associate BiologistPatrick Britton has over five years experience conducting biological field assessments, sensitive plant surveys, and tree assessments throughout Northern California. He has expertise in the development of site- and species-specific avoidance/minimization and monitoring measures for sensitive plant species and extensive working knowledge of the requirements of CEQA, the California Endangered Species Act, and Forest Practice Rules.  A Certified Arborist, he serves as a project manager for biological assessment projects and arborist surveys and is responsible for conducting natural resource and biological assessments, special status species surveys, tree surveys and vegetation mapping, and wetland delineations.  

Erin Gottschalk Fisher, ISA Certified Arborist, Associate Biologist
Erin Gottschalk Fisher, Certified Arborist, conducts rare plant and tree surveys and biological assessments, and assists with wetland delineations for projects throughout the Sierra foothills and Sacramento Valley regions. In Placer County, she participated in a vernal pool survey to assess over 500 vernal pools within nine different reserve locations and managed and helped conduct rare plant surveys on a one-thousand acre preserve.  She is also practiced in conducting environmental impact analyses in accordance with CEQA and has authored Biological Resources chapters in EIRs for a variety of projects in the region.

Gaylene Tupen, Wildlife Biologist
Gaylene Tupen has 15 years experience in wildlife habitat assessment, impact evaluation, and mitigation planning and monitoring.  She has survey experience with sensitive wildlife species, including California red-legged frog, southern steelhead trout, burrowing owl, southwestern pond turtle, and San Joaquin kit fox. She has conducted sensitive species surveys for rare nesting birds and nesting raptors in Northern California and the Central California coast. Ms. Tupen conducts resource evaluations and inventories and USFWS protocol surveys, prepares environmental study reports and constraints analyses, and develops mitigation and implementation plans and FESA Section 10/Habitat Conservation Plans.

Melissa Hostler, Assistant Biologist
Melissa Hostler has more than more than two years of professional experience conducting botanical and wildlife surveys and wetland delineations, preparing and editing reports, querying the California Natural Diversity Database (CNDDB) program, and researching special status species for projects. Her background experience includes three years of field research in old growth forests, cataloging woody and herbaceous plants. She has conducted biological and botanical surveys and assisted with wetland delineations in Stanislaus, Yolo, Contra Costa, Sacramento, Solano, Amador, and El Dorado Counties.
