NFA's biologists and botanists have a notable reputation for thorough, diligent field work and reporting. Three of the firm's biologists are certified arborists. NFA biologists have worked with most of the vegetation types occurring in California. In the Sacramento Valley, Sierra foothills and high Sierra Nevada regions, they have conducted hundreds of vegetation assessments, botanical and rare plant surveys, habitat assessments, CNDDB database searches, and protocol surveys for special status botanical and wildlife species. They have conducted aerial photo interpretations of thousands acres of regional lands and have assisted in the development of numerous mitigation and monitoring programs. Because of the breadth of their experience, they are exceedingly familiar with the area's most important habitats. NFA biologists utilize Access® databases for recording field data, and from them, generate sophisticated analyses and documentation. |
