North Fork Associates' biologists are fully knowledgeable of state and federal regulatory and permitting policies and procedures including the requirements of NEPA and CEQA, the Clean Water Act (Sections 401 and 404), federal and California Endangered Species Acts, California Department of Fish & Game Streambed Alteration (Section 1600) Agreements, California Regional Water Quality Control Board certifications, and local tree ordinances.  North Fork specialists prepare permit applications to meet all of these requirements and have prepared numerous mitigation and monitoring plans for wetland impacts and for impacts to rare plants.

To assist our clients in successfully addressing the complexities of the regulatory process, our principal and senior biologists have developed and maintained excellent working relationships with staff at the California Department of Fish and Game, several Regional Water Quality Control Boards, the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District.
